Mental Health Therapy
Individual Counseling is provided by a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
What is mental health and what types of things do you learn in therapy?
Mental health is our experience and relationship with our emotions, thoughts, actions.
Do we relate to out thoughts and emotions in a healthy way?
Do our actions reflect healthy decisions?
Are we proud of our actions?
Do we feel energized, motivated, and proud or drained, self critical, and dreading life?
Do we feel connected to people we care about?
What does mental health have to do with our passions outdoors?
If our physical health is not prioritized we get injured and cannot do the things we love (hike, mountain bike, climb, ski, snowboard etc).
If our nutrition is not prioritized, we don't have the energy to engage in these activities.
If our mental health is not prioritized, we don't have the motivation or mental energy to do them either!
We get irritable, grumpy, low energy, blame others, don't want to get up early, and get more frustrated by our performance.
Sound familiar at all? Next, we will talk about how to balance mental health to manage some of these occurrences in a healthy way!
